Implementing industry 4.0 for shipyard without wifi connectivity.

Source

Source summary

Develop an on-premises Industry 4.0 and automation approach for a shipyard where Wi-Fi connectivity and cloud adoption are prohibited by defence cyber-security policy.

No. 253Problem statementManufacturing and materials

Strategic Sector Innovation in Object Detection

Explore FPGA-based object detection using VEGA/SHAKTI SoCs, image sensors and AI/ML acceleration. The source spans agricultural, diagnostic and other strategic uses, and describes moving software-trained models onto hardware for real-time image processing. This atlas description retains the educational hardware context without operational surveillance or weapons guidance.

No. 383Problem statementManufacturing and materials

Infusion of augmented reality in technical type training and usage of smart glasses to assist technicians.

Use smart AR glasses in technician training and maintenance so wiring diagrams, troubleshooting instructions, checklists, animations and 3D references remain visible while hands are free. Voice-driven retrieval is also requested to support new technicians learning during work. The problem is consulting multiple references while inspecting real equipment.

No. 393Problem statementManufacturing and materials

Development of structural health monitoring (SHM) system for SU-30 MKI aircraft – stabilizer using photonic system.

Develop non-contact structural-health inspection for Su-30 stabiliser structures to identify cracks in hard-to-access areas without dismantling assemblies. The source contrasts this with visual/magnified and dye-penetrant checks; the published title identifies a photonic approach.
