Design Development of Altimeter for Paratrooping and Skydiving

Source

Source summary

Develop, trial and certify a wrist-mounted analogue altimeter for paratrooping and skydiving, displaying altitude in feet. It must be rugged, shockproof and water resistant, have scratch-resistant glass and adjustable electroluminescent lighting, and tolerate the pressure/temperature conditions of the stated altitude range. The wearer uses it during free fall; a prototype is not a certified safety device.
