Leisure and wellbeing demand from time savings

The idea
Hypothesized second-order demand for entertainment, finance and personal health as automation frees time.
Why this is interesting
- Lightspeed hypothesises that if AI automates work, consumers will spend the time saved on entertainment, finance and personal health. This is a second-order prediction in a US-framed article, and it does not address whether time saved in India would flow to those categories or to more work.
- A venture thesis describes where an investor sees possibility. It does not by itself identify a narrow buyer, an entry wedge or evidence of demand.
Possible starting points
Follow where saved time goes
Study one group of people who have adopted AI tools at work and record what, if anything, changes in their leisure, money or health habits.
Products for the time people already have
Build short, low-effort sessions for exercise or money planning that fit existing routines rather than assuming new free time.
Questions to answer
- Is there evidence in a target user group that AI tools free time rather than raise workload expectations?
- Which of the three categories the source names would a user actually pay for with recovered time?
