No. 1271Problem statementHealth and wellbeingExplainable AI for Diabetic Retinopathy Screening in Rural India
The MATLAB retinal-screening prototype should assess image quality, enhance borderline images and reject ungradeable ones with recapture feedback. It should extract retinal structures and lesions, grade diabetic retinopathy from levels 0–4 and explain results with Grad-CAM, lesion evidence and calibrated confidence for ophthalmologist review. Source targets are over 90% sensitivity and 85% specificity for referable disease, plus review under 30 seconds. A Simulink service model should assess throughput and constrained bandwidth at district scale; these are validation targets, not achieved clinical results.
No. 1278Problem statementHealth and wellbeingIP-SAKTI Sahayak a multilingual, RAG-based (source-cited) AI assistant for Intellectual Property and regulatory guidance in Ayurveda, across national and international regimes.
IP-SAKTI Sahayak is proposed as a multilingual, source-cited Ayurveda IP and regulatory assistant. It should first distinguish formulation categories, then separate Indian and international guidance, covering IP rights, biological-resource access and benefit sharing, prior art and regulatory pathways. A versioned corpus, mandatory citations, confidence indicators, abstention and human escalation are required. Start with retrieval, then optionally add knowledge graphs, agentic retrieval and authorized paid sources. Its guidance must remain informational, not legal advice.
