Urban Flood Nowcasting System (Drainage and Rainfall Coupling)

Source

Source summary

The urban-flood proposal should couple rainfall nowcasts with high-resolution terrain and a directed-graph drainage model to estimate street-level inundation zero to three hours ahead. It should represent surface runoff, pipe/canal capacity, blockage and surcharge, then display predicted depths on a GIS dashboard. A navigation API should support alternative-route suggestions. Flood-free routes and exact street depths remain forecasts to validate, not guarantees.
