AI-native personalisation

The idea
Titan Capital argues that consumer apps serving younger Indian shoppers should move beyond a uniform storefront towards AI-native experiences built around feeds, games and recommendations. The post cites Flipkart’s relaunch of Shopsy as an AI-native app as an example.
Why this is interesting
- Feeds and recommendations can make a large catalogue easier to navigate, but a generational label is not a customer definition, and useful personalisation depends on data a young company may not yet hold.
- A venture thesis describes where an investor sees possibility. It does not by itself identify a narrow buyer, an entry wedge or evidence of demand.
Possible starting points
Cold-start personalisation
Help a new consumer app personalise from a short onboarding exchange and early sessions rather than a long purchase history.
Interactive discovery in one category
Test feed or game-like formats in a category where browsing is already part of how shoppers decide.
Questions to answer
- For which shopper segment and category does personalised discovery measurably change conversion or repeat use?
- How will users see, correct or reset what the app has inferred about them?
