From tools to outcomes

The idea
Z47 describes services-as-software companies that own accuracy, turnaround and the finished result in high-stakes work. They perform the service, automate repeatable steps and retain people where judgement is necessary, rather than leave customers coordinating spreadsheets, operations teams and escalations around a software interface.
Why this is interesting
- Owning an outcome can remove coordination work that software tools leave with the customer, but it also makes the company responsible for accuracy, turnaround and exceptions.
- A venture thesis describes where an investor sees possibility. It does not by itself identify a narrow buyer, an entry wedge or evidence of demand.
Possible starting points
One managed vertical outcome
Take responsibility for a measurable result in a workflow where buyers already coordinate software, people and escalations.
Exception-data operating loop
Automate repeatable cases while capturing the difficult exceptions that require judgement and improve the system over time.
Questions to answer
- Which outcome has a clear buyer, service level and cost of failure?
- Where must people retain judgement, and who remains accountable when the result is wrong?
